Hi guys....
I noticed that this will be my 100th post so I thought I would write something general about SBG that has been on my mind for the last couple of days.....
Following on from a post a couple of days ago, it occurred to me quite how important this site is. This site acts as a very good place for those with balding issues or who are simply bald by choice to find other bald men to look upto. The genetics of balding is pretty complex, but quite often MPB seems to come from the maternal line, this seems to be the case in my family as my Dad has a full head of hair, though my late grandfather on my mother's side was apparently bald. So in this case there was a clear absence of a bald role model. Even more importantly myself and possibly many other men don't have any known role models who shave their heads to look upto (except celebrities like Patrick Stewart, Bruce Willis, etc). Most older gentlemen I have known in my life who have been follicularly challenged have normally sported a very untasteful combover or horseshoe. So there was as such nobody there to encourage shaving and hence where Sly Bald Guys come in.....
So thanks everybody on here who has been a bald guy to look upto and been able to show the way to tackling MPB

Same here. I don't know how many times, while I was fence-sitting, that I wished that there was someone else in the family who could have been the first sly guy and paved the way for me. The lack of support is why it took me so long to take the plunge, and why I had a few aborted attempts when I finally did shave.

I agree - -SBG has bee my backbone - - -I know group of State Troopers (we have breakfast together) they kept at me to go BALD - - -They are all bald
