A great quote from a not so great movie.......
« on: December 30, 2009, 07:39:34 PM »
So my kids received the movie "Mister Magorium's Wonder Emporium" for Christmas. The other night we watched it as a Family.
It was just an OK movie even though it had some big names in it. But as sometimes happens in a movie that is just OK, there was one quote in the movie that absolutely hit me over the head when it was said.

I haven't stopped thinking about the quote since I heard it....... so simple, yet so profound.

Think about this:

"Your life is an occasion.... Rise to it".

Very simple.... but think about those words.... what they really mean. Each of our lives is indeed and occasion and each of us should take the time and make the effort to rise to that occasion the best we can.

Words to live by in the New Year!!!

In the movie "Training Day" with Denzel Washington he sports a skull tattoo with a very simple slogan that kind of imparts the same message:

"Death is certain.....Life is not".

I'm thinking this for my next tat.
