I'm not much of a bragger, or a boaster for that matter, but I would like to mention that on this day (December 21) in 1999 I officially fulfilled one of my lifelong dreams by starting in the radio business. My first gig was as an overnight board operator for a Religious radio station that had equipment from the era of WKRP, working for a Programming Director named Jim Beam. 10 years later, I am still working for the frequency, having survived a format change to Sports, 2 rounds of budget cuts, 3 station moves, and a swearing incident that saw half of our staff get fired. I have no idea how I've made it through it all, but I have.
