It started snowing about 11 PM last night and I woke up to about 6 inches of fluffy snow this AM. We're in the zone that is calling for 12 inches but I have no doubt that will be updated to a higher amount.
We already have about 8 inches on the ground at 9 AM and they're saying the really hard snow will begin after lunch with 1 to 2 inches falling per hour. We are JUST north of the area that is in the 2 foot zone. Living up here on the mountain I have no doubt wwe will be well over a foot.
Merry Christmas!!!!

Lots predicted here, but none yet falling at late morning. Wine run over; trashy book picked up at library; bag of salty snax bought. What could be better? Well, if the snow would fall and look lovely as it did, and then completely go away at the moment the fall was over. Snow is sort of like sex--great while it's happening, but a bit of a letdown afterwards.

I went out a little bit ago to make sure our car was able to get out of our driveway. I agree koz, I think we're going to get over a foot of snow.

This is the same system that drowned us last week, over 7 inches of rain in 24 hours, street flooding, a couple of people died by drowning. Not fun.
But rain and flooding once they're past, lovely weather now.
Bundle up guys, and watch the Saints do a number on the Cowboys tonight. It's cool enough for a fire, got my fixings for a Sazarac cocktail and I'm good for the evening.

The snow is supposed to start late this afternoon in Connecticut. They're forecasting 1.5 feet which is fine by me, as I'm eager to give my new snowblower it's first workout. Only 1 storm so far this year which left about 6".
Bring it on ...
