Becoming a daily shaver

I've decided to become a daily shaver now.
Did you experience like a moment when you realized there was no way you could stop shaving daily (or at least as often as possible) ?
I really hope to experience something like that so I'll never think about growing my hair again.

Guess this topic has been discussed here before many times, but I'm just curious what you guys think.

Hey There Nord.
I guess you are fairly sure you want to keep the bald look. I have been shaving for quite a few years but I still do not manage a daily shave. I find I get a better result if I shave every second day rather than daily. The daily shave I find gets tough on the scalp and I also find that I get a closer shave if I skip a day. If I didn't get irritation then I would shave daily. Good choice to stay sly.

I agree with Will. I get superior shaves doing it on an every other day schedule.
Nord, have any idea what makes you fall off the sly wagon?

Well, laziness probably, but that shouldn't be a problem with a bit more shaving discipline

And sometimes I just thought: "It's grown a bit. Well, why not grow it back, just a bit more?" And then in the end, I always, always go back to shaving my head because I miss the feeling so much. Sly is just the best...

A friend of mine is balding, he has a shaved head and it looks great on him. I'm a little envious 'cause for him growing it back, just a bit, is not even an option - at least not really.
So, I thought maybe daily shaving might be a good idea to make me stay bald, since then I wouldn't really be seeing enough regrowth to fall in the mood of wanting hair again.

Well, I'm so anal about having a perfectly smooth pate that I shaved daily when I had a job, skipped Saturday but started again on Sunday. Been out of work so long my routine is totally haphazard. Lately I don't even get dressed much less shave!

MWF seems to be useful compromise for me, who has gone mostly white-haired, so the day-in-between stubble doesn't really much show, tho' I can, of course, feel it. But for a while I was shaving every day, but that was early on when my spirit required "as slick as possible." Nowadays I'm much more lax.

I was addicted to shave daily right from the start (8 months ago). Only skipped like 3 times on Sundays because of very late waking up

. But usually it's like an automated program each morning without thinking about it.

Daily, of course. Because when I go down to get breakfast after shaving, I feel my scalp, totally smooth, no spots of velcro------------it's in many ways the best part of waking up.

Always nice to see this topic 'reborn' every now and then. As a newbie, I am reluctant to open older, existing threads, so this one is nice to add to. So here goes. I shave my head
Daily, and I shower at night. Can't stand to go to bed,'dirty' and once my feet hit the floor in the morning, I want to be out the door in less than ten (10) minutes. So I do the shaving at night. --- Except
When we go on vacation. Then, before we leave, I usually don't shave my head for a week to 10 days. Being the bit of a show off as I have been accused of being, we go to our favorite beach, the wife then gives me a very close hair-cut then shaves it right on the beach. Fresh Water, soap, MACH 3 and Headblade, right there in the make-shift sand barber shop. You would be amazed how many guys will stop at our spot in the sand and want to know if she takes appointments. After all that, then it is twice a day, morning and night, until we return home.
The next appointment on the beach will be Monday, Dec, 14
We'll let you ponder on what type of beach it is. But the initials might be CO

as I've said before, I have to shave every day, because I hate the velcro feel, and love feeling smooooth.

I've very very occasionally gone a day in between, when I've been ill or something, but not very often at all. It does give a better shave, but I just can't stand the velcro head thing.

Ditto - my routine. It's MY time in the morning shaving head and face - just for me.

It is quite simply the best part of the day in many respects, not only the smooth, but the "zen" of doing it. It's you, your blade and the only concern in the world is getting it as close as possible. GREAT.
