What are you thankful for?
« on: November 25, 2009, 07:05:06 PM »
I'm thankful for the many blessings I have received this year.  Some of you know that I was laid off in April (still searching), but through that ordeal, we have grown closer as a family, Kay and I have had 8 months to get closer to each other.  I'm thankful for great health and good friends.  I'm thankful that we are part of a wonderful, caring church family.  I'm thankful for a God that provides.

I hope each of you have a great Thanksgiving.  Take some of your day to say thanks.

Max

I am grateful for my family, my health, and my job (still working).  I am also thankful to live in the greatest country on earth, thanks in no small part to the men and women who have served and are currently serving to protect our freedoms.  I pray that we will always have such patriots.
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

I'm thankful that my Dad's health is good 8 years after the doctors wrote him off.... we still have him.

I'm thankful for everything in my life..... I'm a guy that made a lot of mistakes and I have been blessed. God has given me the chance to teach others not to do a lot of what I did..... to live everyday with your head up and anxious to greet whatever the day brings you.

A few things I am thankful for.

1. That God has given me he ability to participate in this fantastic event called "life" everyday.

2. My wife and daughter.

3. My job and the people I work with on my route.

4.  The United States military defending our freedom and especially feel gratitude for them on this day when so many of them cannot be with their families. A special thanks to all my fellow SBG active service and veterans for your work.

5. A group of settlers who defied tyranny over 300 years ago to establish this great land we call the United States. Too many today have forgotten we would not have our freedoms had it not been for them.
Our country demands all our strength, all our energies. To resist the powerful combination now forming against us will require every man at his place. If victorious we will have everything to hope for in the future. If defeated, nothing will be left for us to live for.

I'm thankful for a forgiving God that's blessed me with so much more than I deserve.
-a loving wife who accepts me with all my faults and is my best friend.
-my three children. My my 18 yr old and I have always been really close despite her mom & I divorcing when she was 3. My wife and I tried for 4 1/2 yrs to have our 8 yr old. Then 1 yr old Tristan decided to show up after we thought we were done.
-my health and that of my family
-my job
-all of my military brothers & sister who continue the fight to preserve the freedoms of the greatest country in the world.
-all the the Sly brothers I continue to meet in this group.
Don't blame me. I voted for the old guy and the hot chick!

I'm actually kinda thankful for losing my job. 2 years of no sleep, being blatantly disrespected by my boss, and putting 90,000 miles on my car. At least now I got the time to find something closer to home and maybe better pay. I've got less money coming in, but it's lasting longer without the commute.

Also thankful for

1)my family
2)my son
3)a couple special ladies(one that I'd love to be Mrs. Freak someday)
4)And of course you guys

I too am grateful for a forgiving God and more than that, that He's sovereign.  Being out of work for 11 months has allowed me to see His hand providing for my needs, not my own hands.

I'm grateful to be married to the most wonderful woman on the planet, two beautiful daughters and 5 awesome grandchildren.

Yup, I am blessed!  O0
