Hey everyone,

I just renewed my slyness, this time for good!

This past summer I got sick of my ever-thinning hair and, taking inspiration from some of my military friends, decided to be done with all the worrying and shave my head.  I've been balding since I was 16, and I'm only 22 now, but I often think I look closer to 30 because of my hair.

... Anyways, it was a pretty cool experience.  After that initial shock, me and my friendsI got used to it, and my bald head even helped me stand out a bit (and I've never been one to be afraid of the spotlight).  It was also good for my sporting life, because it made me look "mean" and I certainly felt tougher.  I even noticed that people didn't play against me as hard because I looked so no-nonsense!

After the summer ended, however, I decided to grow my hair back because one of my best friends is having a wedding in the next few months, and I thought I could pull off the smooth bond-esque tuxedo and perfect hair look. But boy was it difficult to go back to having hair!  I hate that I have thin hair, and when I grew out the thinness I just ended up spending all my time worrying about how bald I looked. Ironic: when I'm bald I don't care how bald I look because I'm just bald and that's that!

I really couldn't stand worrying about my hair so much... it's only hair after all.  So I shaved my head again and I'm back to slyness for good.  I'll be sly at the wedding, and sly 'till I die.

The transition has been slightly hard for me... I think because I'm still just 22, and I'm the only young man I know who has such advanced MPB... and I know even fewer guys my age who completely shave their head.  Truthfully, if I wasn't balding I probably wouldn't shave my head (especially because I used to have awesome blond hair)... but given my set of options I think this is by-far the best choice.

And that means it's time to update my mental images of coolness and go from a bond-inspired pierce brosnan to something more bruce willis-y.  Anyone know any good bruce willis films where he wears a tux? :D

You look great, and nice into.  Don't worry about being the only bald guy you know.  Sooner or later, some of your friends will experience hair loss, and hopefully they will have the guts to shave it all like you.  Enjoy your bald life.
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

Welcome, great story and good look.  Bald does look good w/ formal wear, I know, wore tails for my daughter's wedding and I looked almost as good as she did--but she did really stand out--it's a kind of father of the bride thing.

Welcome aboard.  A shaved head looks awesome with formal wear.  I've worn a tux since going sly and I thought it looked great.    8)

You may be the first, but you won't be the last.  You'll be amazed how many guys will start inquiring about your head.

Welcome!

Worried about your friends not being Slly.  Just consider yourself a trend setter.  Sooner or later many of them will join you,
