damnit WARHAWK!  You always are posting up a FOOD related thread! lol....

I was just thinking about Turkey Day food when I just posted up about basketball season, because it starts the night before Thanksgiving.

I like my turkeys both ways.  So to settle the issue...my mom will bake a turkey and my brother will fry one.....

although thanks to Mr Wise guy from the Dirty South there.....he's got me wanting some smoked turkey now.  Go ahead Paulie....smoke it up and I will shoot down there that week and we all can have our own Turkey Day!

Love it fried, but am the only one in the family.  I offered to buy a fryer a few years ago and do one, but was met with resistance (we won't have any broth for the dressing)!

Well we have traditional oven roasted turkey here...... and we'll have it as usual this year. But I'm also going to smoke a couple of big turkey breasts this year. I did it a few years ago for Easter and it was a huge hit.

I also smoked a couple a few weeks ago at camping....... everyone is STILL talking about them.

I love both roast and fried turkey. But it'll be roast turkey for us this year as I don't have frying apparatus.

None is the best of all.  Wild duck, roast fresh pork, anything but that damn dry bird.  Turkey--Bah Humbug. >:D  It's JMO.

If you are going to fry, be very careful.

We had a guy in the town I used to work in who had a very embarrassing Thanksgiving when he burned down his deck and did some damage to his house trying to deep fry a turkey.  It took him a while to live it down, since he was the fire chief...  :-[ :-[ :-[
