Sony and Netflix just announced that you will soon be able to stream Netflix to your PS3. This is great news for PS3 owners. I have been doing this on my TiVoHD for a couple of years now and it's awesome! Thousands of movies at your fingertips instantly.
Looks like The Media Mall...
http://www.themediamall.com/playon...will have to find some other way of marketing to convince people they should PAY for their PC to game console media-server. That was the only software I knew that was able to play Netflix on PS3. There is still Hulu, but I think TVersity can stream/transcode that.

Have you tried TVersity? I'm looking for a way to put Hulu and other sites onto my TV and that would be one way. Though, I don't really like that I have to have another computer run the media server. I wish someone would come up with a way to watch Hulu, etc through my TiVoHD or PS3 directly.
Love Netflix. I just wish they would stream more movies than they do now. They would save on postage & I wouldn't have to wait for the movie to show up.

It will happen. It's all about licensing right now and building out the technology.
I've been streaming netflix through my laptop to the TV for about a year. It's pretty good, but I think my picture isn't as clear as when playing DVDs because the graphics card in the laptop is just so-so.
It may be time for a small form facter PC to bury behind my TV, with a beefy graphics card ...
