Well .... I finally went and did it. After about a year of thinking about it, and even purchasing a Head Blade a few months ago. I took the plunge last week. I have to credit Gary B for turning me on to this site. I would probably be still vacillating if it weren't for his recommendation to check out the Sly Bald Guys forum. I felt a bit self-conscious for a minute, until I got my first comment - only two words - sent via text message ... "f*ckin' sexxxy!"

Dome looks good, goat nice also.  Welcome--there's loads of stuff on how to care for a good looking dome on this site, and more stuff is being found all the time.

Thanks aarrggh, andrew, Big-N-Bald, GAslick, Paul, and saintc for the welcome also. Getting ready for my second shave. Even though she who originally thought my sly look was "f*in' sexxy" is now in love with the "cute little spikes". Just got back from hunting down some of the supplies you guys have recommended for my virginal chrome pate. Got the witch hazel (noticed a few tiny bumps), got the Jergens Natural Glow (back of my head looks friggin ghostly), and some wipes to help keep the thing respectable throughout the day. What I DID notice after the first shave was just how nasty a mole on the back of my dome was. Got it cut out and biopsied (sp?) this week. All clear, no cancer, just a friggin' scab now that makes me looked totally diseased. LOL!  8)
