Ok guys I have a question. I've been shaving my head with a Fusion for about a week now. I do it every day, with no troubles really. I Take hot shower first, Lather good with Headslick, let it sit for a couple minutes, then shave. When I'm done i rinse with cold water, and just apply some after shave lotion. My question is this : my hair is receding, and thinning at the top, so the top part of my head is much more shiny than the sides or back. I am wondering if there is any product/ technique i can use to stop this from happening? Either letting the WHOLE head be shiny, or the WHOLE head be like the sides and back are: mildly shiny...
Headblade makes a product called Head Lube that gives a good shine. I use Aloe Vera gel and get a great shine. If you apply either to the duller areas, you should be able to come up with an even, all over shine.
Well frankly, there is just going to be a difference because of the character of hairless skin and the skin w/ hair. Frankly, after I've put on a rub in of benzoyl peroxide--for bumps, etc., and let it dry out, then some Nivea Extreme and let that dry during breakfast, I actually buff my head w/ my tee shirt before putting it on and the dress shirt and tie. Yeah, it's pretty vain, but, damn I think it looks good, and that's all I'm really interested in anyway. But that's just me. Do what pleases you, it is an essential part of Sly Life.
You let what dry before putting what on???

Sorry, I meant after the benzoyl peroxide dries, I then rub on some Nivea Extreme Comfort, then after that dries--usually I'm eating breakfast, I buff it up, finish dressing and I'm off to the office.
So what does the matte head lube do??? would that help???

It's supposed to subdue the shine, but I love shine. That's a matter of choice. Just for information purposes, sometimes I use a 70spf sunscreen that makes my dome absolutely shine like a mirror--and it's fun, really fun to wear. You'll learn about this as you get used to the "new dude in the mirror!: Just relax and remember it's about being free of the combover, etc. Enjoy.
It will also even out after you've been shaving for awhile.
k thanks guys. Any other suggestions???
