Question in advance
« on: October 09, 2009, 08:21:02 AM »
Hi!

So I'm 23 years old and was just wondering if i could get away with a bald look in the future.
At the moment i got rather thick hair, excluding the temples where it receded quite a bit over tha last 5 years.
Luckily the back/top of my head is still on pretty good terms with my hair :P so at the moment I'm still able to wear my hair "long" and use some gel and so on to get a nice look out of my hair.

But, I know that it wont stay like that forever so i already tried buzzing my hair down to about 1,2cm. At first i wasn't really sure if i should like it but then i decided that it looked kinda good.

My question now is: Do i have a headshape that could sport the bald style or not. That is what concerns me most because i think i got a rather big head and i'm pretty unsure what to do when my hair continues to go :/

*i tried to show the receding temples as much as possible in the photos... that resulted in the hair doing the porcupine :/ *

Welcome to the Forum Chris.

You are definetly receding at the temples and top front......but you know what...you're to damn young to worry about your hair in the future. Live your life my Friend.

To answer your question...... you willl look great shaved.....one day way in the future.

One question -- can I have your hair?  It doesn't look like you have anything to worry about for a long time unless something drastic changes.  However, your head shape looks fine.  Do you have any pictures of your #1 haircut?  That would give us a better idea.  If anyone loses his hair, there's nothing that can be done about your headshape, unless you decide to try to cover it up with plugs/rugs.   f*rg^  It is what it is.  People should not worry about that.  I wish my head were shaped nicer, but it's a done deal so why would a person worry about that?
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

sorry got no photos from the buzzed down look
just one that was taken when the hair had grown back considerably (its about 3-4 weeks old so not really as long as its now but not representative)..

Koz has this right--you're at the earliest possible stages of mpb--and it could take years for it to become a "balding" look.  Live, enjoy,  try a bbc if you want, but there is no imperative in your hairline at this time.
