Hello
« on: October 08, 2009, 04:25:08 PM »
Hey guys. My names Phil, I'm 22 and live in England. Stumbled across this site the other day when I googled head shaving I think. I've been shaving my hair, through choice, since I was 8. It was personal preference then and varied in length until recent years it became more of a necessity and the length got shorter. Ive thin hair from my mums side and a high hair line from my dads so didn't have the best luck. I started losing my hair around 18ish I think. The last 6 months seem to have finished it off haha. Currently I've been shaving it without attachment on the clippers once a week but it still looks a mess after a few days so I'm contemplating getting my blade on it and getting rid of the lot and doing it as often as it requires, which brings me here.

I know it looks a bit of a mess at the moment and would probably look much better with it all gone, but it's the few days while myself and everyone else gets used to it that put me off :o I'm tempted to do it tomorrow, so at least I've got the weekend before Im back at work 8)

So, hello O0

Welcome Phil, just make yourself at home here.   Your plan to shave it for the weekend sounds like a good one.  Gives you a chance to get comfortable with the "new" you.

Hey Phil, welcome to SBG!

Howdy and welcome Phil.   This post makes me wonder how many people think "shaving" means using a razor to take it to skin as opposed to using clippers to just get a buzz cut?

I agree.  Shaving is when a blade runs along the skin and cuts off the hair.

Basically if your hair is shaved and yet long enough to give you the dry heaves if it were growing off the legs of a woman it's not shaved.
You don't know me, but I know you.

Welcome to SBG's Phil. Try a blade shave once at least, you can always alternate between the stubble and shaved, but I bet you will prefer it smooth.
Enjoy the forum.    O0

Welcome, wow-8, that's a new one.  Agree that you should try a blade--look up the routines, etc. and they'll give you an idea on the guys' opinion of various weapons--and lathers.  It's a bit of a quest, in search of the perfect shave.  Glad to have you join the quest. O0
