Posting a link to Facebook is useless for those of us non-members.

But even without that, if you care more about what your friends will think than you care about hating your hair, then keep it. Or, you could grow a pair and do what you want for a change.

What's your priority?

Btw, welcome!

Funny how we all worry about what other people will think and say.    I would bet that nearly everyone who makes that transition worries about others.    The best thing is to do it and to not ask them what they think about it - but to tell them how great it is an how much you love it.   Others are influenced by how we react.   Don't ask - tell them.

A lot of us agonized over the thought of shaving our heads.  Most of us experienced freedom and the end of the pain of losing our hair the moment we stepped out of the shower and looked in the mirror.   Its hard to explain until you do it.  So step up and grab a blade and go the distance.

I'll 2nd that. It was hard for me even though it was 1/2 gone any way.  Just forget about everyone else. If I remember right a few weeks back when I was worried about buzzing my hair off. I posted almost the same thing. The main reply I got was. "If your asking then you already know the answer".  So...... you know what you want, I haven't worried about it since I did it or even thought about it letting it grow back. Hair is a thing of the past. On my head anyway. ;)

By the way, if you just can't get up the nerve to do it yourself go to a barber or salon and just sit down, relax and say "take it to the skin". Then enjoy

I know what you’re talking about.  I never thought about my head shape because a military haircut was a must.  However after I shave my head, I notice the shape of the back of my head.  It was somewhat flat.  I agonized about it for sometime and thought of letting my hair grow back.  After asking our bald brother about advice, I felt confident and more comfortable with the fact that as long as I was happy bald nothing else mattered.  As it turned out it’s not really all that bad.  Most of the time we make things worst by just thinking about it when most people are not fascinated by your head shape, but by how hot and sexy your bald head looks.  Go ahead and shave you head and enjoy the freedom of being bald.  If it makes you happy, you’ll love it and believe me you’ll keep it shaved for a long time.

go a number 2 or 3 mate. you don't need to jump straight into a full razor shaved head. to be honest i prefer a clippered cut (no guard) rather than a razor shaved head. (personal preference guys, don't get angry :) ) You still have plenty of hair by the look of it so a shave to a 2 or 3 will look tops! that easy!
p.s friends like to rip on each other, its just how it is. i bet you have a red haired friend you've called ranga or red nut for years and you didn't think twice about it, i know i have. its the same, your friends will tease you but they won't mean anything harsh by it, its all about how to percieve and take it on board, just turn it into a joke with them - like "your mum seemed to enjoy it last night" or something :P go shave now bro

Gonna hafta agree with what everyone else has already said.

Try it.  Give it 30 days.

If you like it (and I know you will), then that's all that matters. The others can go screw.
