Hey bros.
Thought this would be and interesting question to pose.
Let's say you could push a magic button, roll back time and go into a different line of work than you are currently in, what would it be?
For me it would probably be in the field of criminal behavorial science. (Probably has something to do with the season premiere of CSI and Criminal Minds as I love those shows)

Something in forestry or a park ranger. Anything where I would spend more time outdoors.

I wouldn't change my career I love it. Trucking was what I was born to do. The only thing I would change is starting the career earlier.

I wouldn't change anything, either. I'm a composite of the careers I've had and the training and preparation that went into them.

I'm 30 and thinking of changing careers. But I wouldn't go back and do something different from the start. I'm happy with the career path I've taken so far.

Not quite "change" but I'd prepare differently, I would have taken more accounting in preparation for law school because understanding the "deal" is all numbers, and I really have to work hard at it to grasp all the nuances, even after 25+ years of working in transactional work.

I wouldnt really change anything because it all has put me where I am now, and I love it.
but i feel that i wouldnt have wasted my time in high school and right after it. the time i spent in college was a waste of time. i would get out there and bust my ass to pay my dues, then take classes.

I like what I do a lot. However, I think being a sommelier would be very intresting!

I regret not going into the military. Another career path I would have given serious consideration to would be politics.

I was on the fence between computers and medicine. I always wondered how things would have gone had I taken on a medical profession...

I always thought I would have liked to have pursued a career in the weather field. What a job, even if your dead wrong, you can blame the prevailing winds. Even today, when it storms, I'm outside watching.
On another note, volcanoes intrigue me. Any print or TV show, I'm there.

And bringing work home would be so much more interesting. Working weekends, no problem. Now just find me a full time driver and I'll do that too.

Pour up another Pinot, and let's think this out.

Although I enjoy being a software engineer/architect and love being self-employed (for almost 15 years), I wish I'd gone to school to be a lawyer. I sometimes think about going to law school, but I'm probably too old for such a big change (almost 50).
