The Only disadvantage of being sly i've come across
« on: August 14, 2009, 11:22:42 PM »
I just got back from a camping trip and have found the only thing I don't like about being sly.  Mosquitos and Deer flies.  I put mosquito repelent on my head not a good thing!!!   My head is covered in bites not as itchy as anywhere else but my head looks the the moon haha.  I wore a hat and they still got the back of my head and neck.

My wife and I were sitting outside last night and I was constantly swatting at mosquitos, so I can understand what you're saying.

Personally, I'm still coming to grips with shaving every day.  I dislike shaving and tried to go every other day on my face...not so on the bean!  That would be my only disadvantage.

Two solutions here:

1) Wear a do-rag

2) Wear a citronella candle on your head

I opt for number 1.................

Shaving definitely opens up a whole lot more area to those annoying little creatures to get access.  Mike I like the idea of wearing candle on my head maybe start a new line of camping gear called candle head gear the the bald guys! hahaha

Haha... I recently went to Scotland for a week and saw a few people with "midge nets" on, after picking up a couple of bites on my head I can see why.

That's disturbing... yet oddly satisfying...  :/O

Heck, I just take my glasses off, close my eyes and hold my breath and then spray away with the bug dope. Then I take a cap and load it with bug dope and that keeps most of them at bay!
It's all about attitude!
