I only shave against the grain.  I tried with the grain once and it just wasn't a close enough shave.  I know a lot of guys shave with the grain, then go back and go against the grain.  For me, that would cause too much irritation.

Against the grain always here.  Usually shave against the grain, rinse, re-lather, shave a 2nd time against the grain then cold rinse all in the shower.

Good luck!

I too shave against the grain. I wash my head and face then put King Of Shaves , shaving oil on top, wiping the excess off on my face. I think use Head Slick Cream on top and wipe the excess off also on my face. I then shave my face and then my dome. By the time I shave my dome the oil and the cream have had their time to soften the forest.

I then pop into the shower and cool it off with some cool water.

Voila!

Gotta say, I am not really a big fan of switching the shower from hot to cold.   (*!@  But it does help prevent razor burn and tighten the scalp.  Does a pretty good job of waking you up too.
