If you want to do it, go for it.   Go to a barber and get him to buzz your hair down to a zero-guard length.  Then go home and shave it yourself; you'll probably be able to get it smoother than the barber will.  You'll find plenty of tips here on the "Head Shaving" board.

Good luck!

Todd, you've got the itch, why not scratch it :/O?  You might also want to consider buying one of the cheaper clippers at the Wal- Mart--less than $12 and doing it yourself--they come w/ guides to help you from making a mistake.

For you, with a full head of hair, it's just another haircut style, and you'll never know unless you do it.  Try it for 30 days, we've got guys here that do it and have for years. O:O

If not now, when?  Give it a go.

Yep, I agree with the others. Just do it!! I'd go with the inexpensive set of clippers (that's what I did) and buzz it down as low as you can get it! Then, assuming you've got the gear, go ahead and give shaving a shot! All you trully need is a decent razor and some good shave cream/lotion/oil what ever suits you and go for it!!! If ya need more info and/or some pointers just give us a shout!!

You'll never be satisfied until you do it, so go for it.   You can always grow it back.

Might as well do it now.  The quicker you do it, the less you'll regret not doing it sooner.

Go for it - you, unlike many of us, can always grow it back.  Good luck.

And remember, sense you have a full head of dark hair, you will have the Shadow.  Everyone with darkish hair that shaves
has it.  I have it, hate it, but have learned to tolerate it.

Go for it, man.  It's the perfect time of year.  And if you don't like it, it will grow back.  But you will like it!   8)

I agree with the bro's Todd. You've got the option, so give it a go. This time of year is perfect to try it out as many buzz their hair down anyway.

If you decide you don't like the look, at least you have a full head of hair to grow back.
I'm betting you'll like it as well.     O0

Don't just think about it: shave it!  Once the thought is there it's futile to resist! 8)

You can go to a barber to get it buzzed down first, but honestly, if you have access to clippers, you might as well do it yourself... save the money from the haircut.

Clippers are $10-12 at Wal-Mart--you don't need a Cadillac, just a Chevy. New blade, clip w/ no guard then shower, apply some creme or gel, and shave it--slowly, it takes a week or so to really get the hang of it, but it certainly isn't rocket science.
Some shave balm after wiping down w/ some astringent like hydrogen peroxide or witch hazel.  It will have a "numb" feeling at first--it's great--but it quickly goes away.  24 hours later you'll have velcro, so shave again.
Have fun, feel free.
