Nope it's the real deal ... go to the Headblade Myspace site and check before yelling "Spam alert."
Although I could see why it would look suspect.

Well I think it's not SPAM per se.... but it is in bad taste, IMO, to ask the members of the Forum to do this.... especially from a guy who asked for this with his second post.

No thanks!!!!

Agree with Koz... helping a guy who has been around here awhile and has been a regular contributor is one thing, but doing it this way is definitely in poor taste.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that Todd from HB suggested Dan to come here for support. Todd has psoted this all over his myspace page. I voted for him from that just helping a fellow sly guy out.

Hey guys, this is being pushed by HeadBlade, so show your support if you feel like it.

In the future, please report the posts to me and let me determine if it is spam or not.

Dan, welcome to SBG!  Sorry for the not so warm welcome.  Though, in the future you it's forum etiquette to get to know the group before asking for such requests or get approval from one of the moderators.

No worries guys,

Glad to see you're on it to keep the forum pure. Sorry for the abrupt entry. :)
Thanks for your support, and yes Todd and the crew are amazing people!

If I win this gig, we'll set up a "no hair" tasting session at the winery.

Anyone down for that?

Thanks!

Dan

This kind of rubbed me the wrong way, Dan.  Regardless of who's sponsoring you, I just thought this lacked tact (especially considering your rallying up support for your job app/video).  How would the person/people hiring you feel about this?

I thought your video rocked though so I voted for you anyways  O0 O0

Thanks for the votes guys!

BReady, I totally get what you are saying, and can see why that would have rubbed anyone the wrong way. And I'll own that it did lack tact ... I'll freely admit that my enthusiasm can sometime overrun my common sense at time, so allow me to apologize again. I think I jumped the gun in my excitement of making that the first post, and disregarded the feelings of the regulars members. In hindsight, I should have at least posted twice before making my request. just kidding. :)

Just to be clear, Headblade isn't sponsoring me, just supporting me. :) They are amazing!

The whole point of this job application process is to see how far a person's reach can extend into as wide a group as possible, as how many people he can get a message out to, as well as if they are someone who they can just hang out with at the end of the day. So in that case, I think it's a benefit to the prospective employer ... especially since this IS a competition. They want to see who can rally the troops in a short amount of time. I've been hyping this for only 9 days and have landed the #2 spot.

Thanks for your vote, the kind words about the video and voicing your concern .... seriously, I appreciate getting feedback of any kind ... keeps me on track. Can't afford to ignore anything in life!

Once again, thanks you guys for inviting me into the fray. I promise you this isn't a hit and run deal, as I have some questions and input into keeping your head clean.

Oh, and if you haven't ... please vote for me. :)

Dan
