One of the main reasons for my current experiment with the sly look was to see if it could improve my effect on the opposite sex. Well, I'm happy to report that my first test was a success.
Last Saturday night, I went out to a club that I hadn't visited in a few months. (I rarely go to clubs because I don't care much for the atmosphere, but they make a great practice ground for keeping my game in good shape.) As you might have guessed, I don't have a problem with confidence when it comes to talking and flirting with new women - although not too long ago I was petrified of clubs like these. I overcame that obstacle for reasons that had nothing to do with my hair.
At any rate, I ended up partying with a completely random, mixed group of thirtysomethings, one of whom was celebrating her 32nd birthday. She happened to be married, but there were single women in the group as well. I told her I wished I were 32 again, and she said I didn't look any older than 35 (I'm actually 42).
I didn't feel any sparks fly with anyone that night, but I noticed something very different from my previous experiences in clubs, even my good ones. When I flirted at big events before, with my full head of hair, I often had the sense that the girls were looking at me as one of 500 possible guys they could be having fun with in the crowd. This time, I think they were intrigued by the chance to hang out with a sly guy. I seemed to get more attention, and to be able to hold their attention a little more easily.
By the way, I remember noticing at least a dozen young guys at the club who were bald by choice, so I didn't have to worry about being seen as a freak because of it.
