Hello all-
I am glad to have found this site and have been lurking for a while now. While my natural hair is quite thick, it also grows in strange directions and is receding. After turning 37 last year, I also noticed the amount of gray coming in. My five year old even commented on how I looked like Grandpa. I embarked on a weight loss and fitness regimen about a year ago, and recently passed the 110 pound mark. I wanted to change the rest of my look--beyond going from a 52 inch waist to a 36.. As I said, the receding hairline has been annoying, and I just kept buzzing it shorter and shorter. I was concerned about shaving it all off, although I wanted to try. I work in education as a high school principal and was afraid of student/parent reactions. Well, I took the plunge, and so far so good. I think it makes me look a bit scarier, which in this job can be a good thing. I have also been told it makes me look younger. My own children say it looks cool, and I think I'll stick with it. No negative reactions from my "other children either." Anyway--look forward to being part of the brotherhood!

Welcome aboard, bro!
Glad you found us. The look suits you and looks like you have support on all sides.
Great memory jogger I got from my middle school principal about the difference in spelling/meaning of "principal" and "principle," remember your principal is your pal!

Welcome. If my principal in high school was Sly I probably would have been more intimidated and might not have gotten into so much trouble, but he had MPB kinda bad and looked funny with it. Looks good.
