Oily Dome
« on: May 30, 2009, 06:01:53 AM »
Fellow Sly Members

You all are the greatest as I love this forum.  Sometimes when I shave my dome, I just rinse off the Bald Guys Shave Gel and that is it.  Sometimes, my dome becomes really shiny because of excess oil acccumulation and I don't always carry a baby wipe or Bald Guy Moist towel to wipe off my dome. Is there anything I can do so to control this.

you could get a beautiful woman to follow you around all day with a towel to continue wipping your dome down.  She can even use some baby powder and massage it in for you.  Thing is with the powder though, it will take the shine away.  Using a wipe, bud, is about the only thing you can do.  Let us know if you find something different.

OOrrrr, you could go to the nearest sink, and, what I do is a quick warm water rinse and then a cold water rinse. No soap or anything like that. Works for me!

I'm with Gary on this one.
Whenever I'm in a restroom and I'm washing my hands, I'll always get a little cold water in my hands, rub it on my dome and wipe it down with a paper towel. Feels great!! Whenever there are guys are at the sink washing their hands at the same time, I'll sometimes catch a glimpse of jealousy from the other guys at the sink and I cool down without messing up my "hairdoo".

Man, it's awesome to be sly!  O:O

I'm in the sink camp - although Timmj camp sounds like a much better camp to be attending - one "heads up" - beware cheap paper towel - I wandered around with bits of paper attached to my dome for a while after doing this and not looking carefully

I don't do it for oily reasons but I do wet down my head during the day when hot and sweaty.
And even when it is not hot and sweaty it is my pause that refreshes!  8)

Only 2.5 weeks experience though...

I would love to be able to do the sink method, but I have super dry skin, so I would then need to moisturise after getting wet......

If anyone does have any SBG wisdom, it would be greatly appriciated!!

Natural oil = Natural shine...... I'll take a DRY paper towel once or twice a day and take off some of the natural oil but leave a little behind to maintain the shine....
