Thanks for the welcomes... I really appreciate it. I set my bald head as my photo for you all to see. =]

Here is also a photo taken about 3 weeks ago when I had hair.

greetings and congrats .  looks good

the 'wierd numb feeling' doesn't go away when you live where I do ; Saskatchewan, Canada.  It's so cold; your head feels numb all the time.   Wierd, interesting; and I love it .

Welcome to the gang.  Your before and after photos tell the tale. Your shaved look is definitely the way to go.  Watch out, now comes the women wanting to rub your head for good luck, etc.  (Some of us kinda like that part)

BTW -- in the before pic you look like an average young fellow with a receding hairline.  In your Sly pic, you look like you are a young fellow whose got it goin' on!  Great change for the better! O0

Good to have you on board.  The "pre" shot certainly illustrates that you did the right thing--and the new look is clean and smooth.  Stay Sly O0.   By the time 30 days has passed the "numb" feeling will be mostly gone.  Funny, it happens to so many guys but I don't recall a thread on it????  I mentioned it in one of my first posts.

Again, you did the right thing at the right time.

I am 23 years old and my hairline has been receding for the past year. I stumbled upon this website the other day and reading through the posts and looking at everyone's photo I was inspired to completely shave my head. I'll be honest, I was nervous. I was shaking as I ran the clippers over my head. I wasn't shaking as much when I went over it with my mach3 razor, but I did manage to cut myself in a couple spots. Anyway... I did it! My head is a little numb and it feels weird, but I can definitely see myself getting used to this.

You guys seem alright, so I'm thinking I'll stick around. =]
Congrats on taking the plunge, slick beats receding any day. Just wait until the first woman comes up to you and lays a big wet kiss ontop of that dome. Why let mother nature hav all the fun, keep it off and keep smilin.

A belated welcome to you optimistic, that's a very positive user name and attitude, big thumbs up!    O0

Hope you are enjoying the forum. We have plenty of good info to be found here, and a good bunch of guys to bs with and get to know.

The noggin' looks good, and that numb feeling will slowly fade as you get more accustomed to shaving. It is a great feeling that we all end up missing.

Take your time with shaving, there's plenty to learn, and many different blades and gels/creams out there. Read through the headshaving and products sections to get an idea how some feel about them.
It eventually comes down to what works best for you.

Good luck, and keep it smooth!
