Australias last WW1 Veteran died in 2005 aged 106.Evan Allan was only 14 when he enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy and saw action on the Western Front. Australia enlisted almost 416,000 men during the First War.Almost 14% of their total population and with over 61,000 being KIA.During WWII, there were over 40,000 deaths.The numbers arent as high as casualties suffered by other countries but the sacrifice still remains.I salute all veterans who fought for their country and died.
