I am a Glock fan myself.... I carry a G23 everywhere, I used to carry ALMOST everywhere, but after the retard went to that church in Colorado, I even carry to church....

I too carry everywhere except where law prohibits.  I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who carries to church.

It must be some feeling sitting in a  pew at church while having a loaded handgun holstered on your body.

Do you ever get uncomfortable and have to shift the handgun around?

I'm in to handguns, have several and I also CCW.  I'm a former LEO and was an assistant range instructor for a Police Academy.  I'm on the security team at church and do some private training for friends new to handguns and or CCW.  Been shooting for 38 years  O:O

I agree!!! Very nice!

I am actually planning on buying a .40 cal and I have been up in the air between the Glock, HK and Baby Eagle.

any input would be appreciated.

I'd tell anyone who asks for input to SERIOUSLY look into glocks. I love my 23, and if you want a 40s&w that you can conceal, this is close to perfect. I also have a lasermax laser in mine, here's a look:<center>

Hey Ice, How many rounds do those Glock extended magazines carry?

29 is the magic number... They are almost too much fun at the range, but it sucks paying for all those rounds, and, it's not practical for carry. I paid $80 each for those, because I bought them when that nameless jerkoff made the AWB..... So I'll also say this:
If you want to buy guns that don't suck, you should do it soon, cuz our rights are going to vanish if obama bin ladin or the nameless jerkoff's wife gets into office.

Yeah, folks that I know that have Glocks, swear by them... I will give one a go this weekend at the range and see how it compares to the HK and BDE

Don't even bother with the h&k, they are fun to shoot, but the glock is superior, and glocks have the fewest parts, fewer parts= fewer problems... as for the DE.... Magnum Research makes a mean gun, but there is nothing small about the baby eagle, unless you put it next to it's big brothers. I wouldn't even consider carrying a DE for self defense, although I would like another .50 to play with at the range. LEt me know If you want a current glock price list O0

Ice pretty sweet photos.

I hear Glocks are very reliable weapons and virtually never jam.

I am going to rent a glock and a baby eagle this weekend and then I may hit you up for some pricing. I may check my local FFA pawn to see what they have as well.

I have had some friends tell me just to get a 9mm or .45  to get cheaper ammo, thoughts?

Thanks for the info.

  Ok here goes.....
The difference between a 9mm/.38 and a .45acp is ONLY .10 inches. That means you can be off target by about .05 inches. Surgeons cannot tell the difference between the wound tracts, so if you plan to carry to protect yourself and/or loved ones,  you need to practice and it is expensive. I'm sure you've heard "shoot at center mass", but if someone is trying to kill you, center mass isn't good enough. You're going to need to hit the heart or aorta to achieve hypovolemic shock. The best way to practice is to get some human-shaped paper targets and draw a triangle connecting the nipples with the super-sternal notch at the base of the throat. If you are going to carry a weapon, there are many things to consider, and there are ALWAYS things to learn. I would advise going with the .40, and eventually get into reloading, nomatter what caliber you choose. dillonprecision.com is where you can find the best reloaders on the market.

Sorry Ice but I beg to differ, I have a H&K and it is the best gun I have ever had. I have fired the others and I will stand By my H&K. The only thing most people don't like about the H&K is the trigger is a bit heavy for some folks. As far as ease of use and peices parts there is little or no difference between the glocks and the H&K's. I think the H&K is more durable to the glock its not all plastic, its still metal where it needs to be.The eagle is way to big to be a carry gun.

Nomad, I'm sorry if I offended you. I should have said "in my own opinion"..... I have shot a USP, but I still prefer a glock

It must be some feeling sitting in a  pew at church while having a loaded handgun holstered on your body.

Jesus instructed his disciples to arm themselves.

Luke 22:36 (New International Version)

36 He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

Do you ever get uncomfortable and have to shift the handgun around?

With a properly fitted holster you sometimes forget it's even there.

Sorry Stang, I think packing heat in a church is a bit over the top bro but if it is your perogative, more power to ya. You have the legal right to do it.

I think Jesus may have meant something a bit different from that verse that you mention.
