what type of razor does your dad use?

hello fellow chrome domes.... i think it is safe 2 assume that 99.9% of us use quality razors such as the fusion, mach3, headblade, quattro,  & schick extreme 3.  what razor does your dad or step-dad use?  i'll start:  my dad uses gilette disposable razors.  he says it does a good job and doesn't feel that it is important 2 try the more quality and more expensive razors such as the fusion and mach3.

so.... how 'bout u?  what razor does your dad use?  and if u tried 2 convince him 2 use your razor of choice...

My dad has a beard and a (slightly thinning now that he is older) full head of hair. He looks like Kenny Rogers or something.

He uses an electric to shave his cheeks and neck.. thats it.

MPB definitely skips a generation... or maybe that bald mailman really was.... never mind.

My dad used a DE razor when I was a kid. I wish I had one of his old ones around to try out.
He died almost 30 years ago.

I wonder what he would make of today's safety razors, such as the Fusion?

My stepdad uses a Mach3 as far as I know.

My father uses a mach 3, and disposables.

My stepfather uses a mach 3 too if I'm not mistaken.

Both, my father and I have a small upper lip, so 4 or 5 blades just won't fit there!

my pops used to use a cheap disposable for YEARS, eventually i grew up n shaved my dome and was bestowed with a fusion, thus, that was his xmas present for the year haha so he also uses the fusion.

My father used a gillette track2.... for years..... in my frist 2 years of shaving i went through more razors than he ahd in the 14-16 years i knew him..... than he got a gillette sensor in the mail and i thought he started using that. however when i was 19 and came home from college i complained about razor burn, that old school razor i used was killing me... so be pulled out this sensor excel for me and let me have that..... so at that point it was

than finally I moved out... sent my brother (15 at the time) a Mach 3 Blue for christmas.... and my brother wouldn't use it afarid he'd kill him self so left it for like 2 years...than i returned home and noticed the razor was stillin the package so i teased my brother and than suggested to my father that he should try it..... after about 6 months of teasing he finally tried it and really really liked it... since than i think he's gotten the Schlick Quataum Titanium, and possiblely a Fusion.

The last time I gave him heat on the razor he used he said "i wasn't worried about my shave and the closeness of it. had to keep you and your brother fed housed and clothed.." and my response you dide a good job and it wouldn't have been the end or the world if you took $30 to buy a razor and a few blades...... my old man he's a funny fella...

He's lurked on this site a few time, also has considered going sly.... but i don't think he'll take the plunge

Up until he was in his ninties, Dad used a DE, and I think of the sound it made every morning listening to the blade clean up my scalp.  He'd switched to an electric a few years before he died.  He'd buzzed his hair for thirty years or more, I think it was because he was thrifty and not because of style.  He stopped the cost of barbers when he bought an electric clipper when his barber died.  That barber used to give him a straight edge shave every week when he got it cut.  Now that was a sight watching Dad, and Lee, the barber and that blade--it really facinated me.  The full works, hot steaming towels, smells that don't seem to exist anymore.  I never got the chance to have a real barber shave, I don't know if they exist anymore.

My late father  shaved every day with a DE razor. I believe I have the last razor he used, a "H-2"  (2nd quarter 1962) Gillette slim adjustable, he also used Gillette's brush less shave cream which came in a tube like toothpaste.

I couldnt tell you waht my dad uses....last i seen prolly those cheap dollar store disposables?  I dunno....i dont snoop in his bathroom closets....or cabinets.

MY LATE FATHER ( ) used a d/e as long as i can remember when i was a lil kid then i remember him using I think gilette that you shoved the lilguide bar into it and slid the NEW blad)s) on it but he had one of those electric shaving cream CAN warmers , the kind you could drop ANY can of shaving cream into NOTHING special i THINK he was a BARBERSOL man and as a religion OLD SPICE.  I dont know if he liked it , or MOMZ liked it ?  i remember every once in a while he'd get a bottle of hi karate , but 95% of the time it was ole spice soap on a roap, deoderant and aftershave , a few years after he passed , i INHEARITED a couple of gift sets that had been in the closet . I thought "what in the hell am I gonna do with these?" well, the first time i wore it to go over moms for somethin special , my girl said "WOW.. that smells GREAT! it smells so familiar" and when moms smelled it she sorta smiled as she teard up    I dont wear it very often , but every ONCE IN A WHILE , i'll be missin him or takin momz to dinner and i break it out . I KNOW I KNOW  I went from razors to aftershave , so sue me
