Whose idea was it?

Did you first shave your head because it was something you really wanted to do, or was it because somebody in your life approached you and said that you ought to shave it?  If it was the latter, who made the suggestion and how receptive were you to the idea initiallyl?

I had a horrible case of MPB building up (or should I say thinning up), but very few were able to see it unless I was sitting down because I'm so tall.  Well, one person to notice was my sister, and being the sister she is, she rode me about it to no end.  Every chance she had she pointed out to me that I was getting really thin up top.  One day I had enough of it and I had her take the dog clippers to my head.

Back when I had hair I noticed alot of people in college trying to keep what little hair they had left, and I told myself if I ever do get bald I will shave it all off. And well in 3 years time it came my turn and so I decided to turn SLY!

I did it by choice because I always wanted to see what it would look like. Just to make sure I didn't back out, I did it for charity.

I always kept my hair short, and it kept getting shorter and shorter, so I could go longer between haircuts.  One evening I was in the bathroom cutting it with no guard and I said "self, (I call myself self when no one else is around). self, your only a week or so from bald, let's see what it looks like"  So I jumped in the shower and proceeded to shave it all off.  At first the wife laughed, but I liked it.  After 3 years, I still like it.   O0

Initially did it for charity, but once I saw the result there was no going back.  In fact, it will be one year next week.

i was always intrigued on how i would look with a smoooth noggin'.  all i gotta say is that i'm glad that i'm a sly guy.  no turning back...sly 4 life. O0 O0

I had a no gaurd buzz for years and always liked the way a shaved head looked so one day I just said WTF.

I, too, had been intrigued by the smooth sly noggins for a long time and kept buzzing shorter and shorter over a period of about 4 years.  Finally came to the realization that shaving it all off was the only way to go.

I would have to say it was my idea to shave my head for a few reasons. I always hated trying to get my hair to look good which only happen on a very lucky day  :Xo! So i stop trying and just let it go and with doing that it was always in my face which didnt make it any better. Then when it came to washing my hair all the hair that was falling out would stick on my face after i washed it. So one day when i was watching smallville i saw the character Lex Luthor with the shaved head and was thinking Hey i should try that  :P couple days later i was sly  O0

For me it really wasnt a question of whether or not I would look good.  I look good no matter what I do to my head or what I wear or just anything.  When I walk out the door I have people just flock to me.  I feel like some sort of Saint or something.  For the first time in my life I found out what it is like to be a celebrity.  You know that walking stick collection i was telling you all about in the past....well those are for walking...they are for beating the people off of me.  Some say well just put on a wig when you go out ...well taht doesnt work either because as I have jsut said...they flock to me in droves.....its hell being good looking..LOL :*)) :*)) :*)) :*))

No seriously....I was shaving my head really really short and my wife made a comment where she said that she was gettting tired of seeing my 5 o'clock shadow on my head...that I needed to do something about it.  Well her intentions were for me to grow it out more...but instead about 5 minutes later I jumped in the shower and shaved it all off.  I did stand at the sink for prolly 30 minutes or so thinking ...what the hell did i just do....I walk out of the bathroom in a hoodie.....head covered....wife is like...why the hell you got that hoodie hat on for its...summer time.  So I couldnt use the fact that I was cold...so I just whipped it off and exposed the SHINEY DOME for the first time to the public.....wow did the chins hit that floor at my house that day.  My youngest daughter who is 7 goes running out the front door screaming to the neighbor kids...MY DAD IS BALD MY DAD IS BALD.  My son says cool dad...you gonna wrestle now?  My oldest Daughter thought it was the best thing i have ever done ...and now that i needed to shave my chest hair and stuff off cause it looks gross she says. ??????? I dunno...but that is my story..oh the wife...she didnt like it at first but didnt take her long to figure out it was my head and I was gonna do with it as I pleased....so she likes it now ...I think
