Not Technically New
« on: October 13, 2018, 07:33:14 PM »
Hi All,

I actually registered here for an account 10 years ago because I've always thought men with shaved heads (and bald) are very handsome. Well last night, I shaved my head. I'm 28 years old and live just out of Toronto. My hair is extremely curly and grows super fast. I liked keeping it straight and spiked but in order to do so, I had to get it cut every 4 weeks or so. I hated how much I was spending on hair cuts and I was getting annoyed at trying to keep it styled so it looked professional.

A friend of mine who is around my age, has the same shape of face as me and same type of hair. He's shaved his head for 2 years now and absolutely loves it. I have an old electric razor so last night I said that if it did the trick then it was meant to be. I wanted to see how I looked based on a look I admire on others.

All my friends, family and coworkers were initially shocked today but they love it. I love it too. I've attached a before and after picture. I look forward to interacting with all of you regularly and learning tips on how to maintain the best shaved head ever.

I did my first wet shave this morning. I'm using my friend's regimen:

Use an exfoliator before showering (he told me to use St. Ives coconut scrub)
Apply a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner
Before using soap or body wash, put on shaving gel
After shower is done, then shave. He shaves once going with the grain and then against the grain.
Apply after-shave balm
Use 2 drops of baby oil if you want shine.

My confidence has been ridiculously low but its really high now that I have a shaved head. Sorry to sound arrogant, but I can't stop looking at it. I love it. I think more men should shave their heads! My doctor is nagging me to lose weight and I think me shaving my head is giving me the boost I need. I want my body to now match my sexy head.

Welcome.  Most guys also report an increase in confidence after shaving, and motivation to make other changes.  Try some facial hair to go with your sly dome.

I would kill to grow facial hair but I can't even if my life depended on it!

Thanks Sir Harry, shaving my head was an immediate confidence booster. I love shaving it. I am kicking myself at why I didn't do it many years ago like when I first joined this boards. To anybody reading this having doubts: SHAVE YOUR HEAD ALREADY! I look forward to having a shaved head for a really long time!

Hey chrisphilly123,

My plan is to definitely develop a hot body over the winter and spring. I'm also going to try and start growing more body hair over the winter.

All good man. And now I can say, that old hair you had was doing you no favors. (As I'm sure you already know.) Welcome to our world.

Relax. This guy is a troll, so he has been banned. Carry on.
