Hello all, I stumbled upon this forum a while back, I found it quite interesting, with the various tips and topics for shaving your head and maintenance techniques.

While lurking today I realized that this forum has so much more to offer than just shaving tips ect, I like the way you all communicate with each other, seems very friendly and I would like to be a part of this community.

I just retired from the U.S. Army in Feb 2007 with 22 years 7 months of service, I am currently in CT, and originally from Chicago. My wife Retires from the Army next year and we will be relocating to Arkansas or Georgia.

I am just relaxing these days, taking a well deserved break, and trying to decide what I want to do next career wise.

I started shaving my head around the 18th year of my Army career, my hair just starting thinning on the top all of a sudden, I got all depressed and continued to wear it like that for a while, then the comments started coming about how my hair was thinning on top ect ect, so one day I just decided to shave it off.

Occasionally in the past I would look at old pictures of myself with hair, and stop shaving my head to see if I could grow a full head of hair again..... lol. It never worked.

WARRIOR, welcome to SBG!  I salute you & your wife for your dedicated service to our country!  I'm sure you'll love hangin' around the forum as much as the rest of us do - it's really a friendly site with a great bunch of guys & gals.  Feel free to jump in on any topic!  Great to have you aboard.

Thanks Paul, I retired as an E-7, Sergeant First Class.

My ultimate goal and dream was to be a (1SG) First Sergeant, but making E-8 was so hard to do, too few slots, it was very discouraging.
