O0 So many to choose from nowadays--proving again that the image now commands respect from the mainstream. With apologies to Yule Brenner and Telly Savalas, who started the change, I'd pick Michael Chiklis. His transformation from a whimpy balding commissioner into a toned, kick-ass shaved-clean cop is awesome, an inspiration to us all. While he is not an actor, Dr. Keith Ablow also deserves credit for providing a role model for professional men. Brittny Spears ought not to have been allowed to shave her head. If Giuliani got rid of the rim and won the Republican nomination, THAT would give  baldiness high status, even if he lost the election in 2008. Professor Melon

I agree.   It was an amazing transformation and a perfect example of how a bald head is better than a balding one.  Could you imagine him playing Vic Mackey if he still had his thinning locks (assuming that he still would have gotten the role, which is unlikely)?  Just wouldn't be right, would it?

Welcome Iker - Glad you joined us.

I think Bruce Willis was one of pioneers in celebrity head-shaving, along with Telly Savalas and Yul Bryner

I like Lee Arenberg

He was pretty hilarious in a few of the Seinfeld episodes as "mike moffit."

Michael Chiklis - I watched him on The Commish and in various bit parts - and I when The Shield first came out it was his new sly look that motivated me to shave my head for the first time.

Matter of fact, after letting my thinning hair grow back I saw Michael Chiklis in an interview several weeks ago and I took out the clippers then finished the job in the shower that night...and here I am today!

After:

That first look is the road I was headed down before I went Chiklisly   :)

Jeff Bridges is looking pretty sharp in Iron man.

He looks like he should be registered with the local police and not allowed to live anywhere near a school.   :o
