My Introduction and induction to sly
« on: July 05, 2014, 01:37:14 AM »
Hi, I've been lurking for some time and considering going sly. We'll just a little while ago i decided it was all or nothing so i got out the clippers and went for it. Feels liberating but still haven't gotten quiet used to it haha. always catching myself in the mirror wondering "is that really me? is that what i look like now?" so i guess i'm just wondering what all you sly guys think? do i have the head for it? do i have the face for it? is this right for me? what do you guys think?

Thanks baldita. i've always been pretty light skinned so I wasn't to worried about being mismatched or anything lol but was concerned by the slope of my forehead (see the last pic) but hearing you say that makes me feel a little less self conscious about it.  :)

As I usually do, when there are photos in a post I look at them before reading the post which so that my reaction isn't biased by the written comments.

You look great as a Sly Guy ... nothing to worry about there.

I really is liberating not to be concerned with hair - styling, loss, maintenance, systems, whatever.

Enjoy the freedom. You'll get used to "that new guy" in the mirror in short order.

And, welcome to SBG. Great bunch of folks here.

My first reaction was, "great shaped head!" Just give it some time and you will see yourself as a sly guy! Besides the look, one of the best things associated with going sly is the freedom you get from worrying about your hair. Welcome to the club!

exactly! you don't mismatch with color and thats great!  O0 I'm working on my tan to match the color ;)
I don't see any slope... if you talk about your front picture you look natural and good I have that same little-bit slopped
(you can see my photos in my last post "Hi from Italy! (update with new photos razor shaved :D )"  ),
a thing to not be concerned about, it make us more natural   O0
the first time I see it on my head little scared me  ;D, but I trust the opinions of the guys here and they say I look good   O:O
You look great!!! O0

Thanks for all the support guys, it means alot. I just hope my freinds and family think the same lol. I imagine it'll take time for people to adjust to it the same as it will for me. But so far I like it, took a shower awhile ago and it feels great not to have to use shampoo or to towel dry my hair or even have to comb anything. To me it's the embodiment of simplicity and i like that. Definitely gonna give it the 30 day challenge and see how I feel.  8)
