Snow in the Southeast

It's a good day to sit at home in the Southeast.  Light snow is falling now.  Forecast for freezing rain later with winds, loss of electricity, dangerous driving, etc.

I'll just stay at home and watch the cardinals on the back porch. (and rub my smooth head). 

If the forecast is correct, the office will be closed both Wednesday and Thursday before the ice stops. (power is not an issue at the office. They have a generator to keep things going).

Be safe out there...I hear Atlanta is going to get it pretty bad again.....so any members that live in the affected areas please be careful and only go outside if it's really necessary.

I'm in south Georgia, it's wet and nasty out but it's in the 40s, I think they may be over cautioning this time due to what happened in Atlanta last time, it was between 15 and 25 here during snowed out Atlanta, but it's better to be prepared and it be unnecessary, than to not be and it really get bad...semper Paratus

They don't call it global warming over here anymore...as its pretty much been debunked as something we contribute too....now its climate change!

We're expecting a clobbering in CT tonight. Weather dummies on the news tell us to anticipate power outages and "roofs collapsing."  Love the mass hysteria promoted by the media.

I had that thought myself, when I saw the news this morning.  It reminds me of when we have a bad hurricane that the weather people didn't warn people enough about... then a category 1 comes through and the media creates mass hysteria.

I'm in the area where they are calling for 14" - 20" of snow. That's on top of the 7"-8" that are already on the ground.

Almost forgot...... another 3 inches are coming on Friday night !

Since our original Valentines Day dinner plans have been cancelled for us, decided to take wife out for lunch.  We walked to the restaurant, then to a coffee shop and back home.  3 hour date.  Nice.  We did not HAVE to walk. Much of the snow in the streets is gone, but it was fun to walk anyway.

Next Thursday it's supposed to be 70 degrees here!
