So I have an inexpensive Shave/lather brush from Walmart or the like. (Under $10). What's the difference between this and the expensive brushes? What am I missing if anything?
I lather up with head slick and shave secret mix. Brush seems to work OK.
dif brushes are wider or firmer. it's all pretty much personal pref though silver tip grade badger brushes are considered best by many
More expensive brushes are typically made from higher grades of badger and or boar hair.
I think there is a pretty big difference between a no-name brush and even an entry level brush from a reputable manufacturer.
I think that knots from The Golden Nib are excellent for the price. Also a Omega 48/49 are bread for the head because they are HUGE and also quite cheap!
Thanks for the tips. I have been using a cheap shaving brush from Walmart also. I would like to invest in a better brush. I really like using a brush when applying shaving lather. It works much better than not using a bruch.
I have a cheap brush too and the hairs are always coming out. I feel like it makes me skip over spots. The better brushes are so much more expensive though. Can someone recommend one for around 20 bucks?!
Apparently the prices include free worldwide shipping.
