I have a strange blend of music genres that I like including the southern rock groups you mentioned. I would probably throw .38 Special in that group although they came later. I also like Big Band music which is probably weird for someone my age but, oh well. I have a hard time getting into anything new these days unless it's jazz related.

Only 1 song? Has to be "Nightrain" by Guns N' Roses then. THE perfect rock 'n' roll song.

My favorite Marley tune is Redemption Song.
Buffett is always good time music.
BaldRob, you should check out the Zac Brown Band. You've got to like a country sound a little but it's really good. It's probably what Buffett would have sounded like if he were from Georgia.

Huh? If you're going to pick an 80's tune with a female singer, at least get someone hot like Suzanna Hoff (Bangles).

He's got a great tune and groove. I think I'll spend some of my iTunes card that I got for my birthday buying his music.

It's not about the singer... that song just picks me up no matter what mood I'm in!
And yes.. Suzanna was freakin' smokin' hot!

One song is real tough for me because besides baseball, music is my life..........
I am gonna have to say "With my Own Two Hands" by Ben Harper
This followed closely by "Burn One Down"
Funeral song would have to be "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley
