WHAT shaving product are you getting ready to finish?
« on: January 09, 2013, 08:45:27 PM »
Hello fellow chrome domes:  I hope all is well with you and your families.  Just wondering... what shaving product are you getting ready to finish?

I'll start.  I have recently finished my tub of Taylor of Old Bond Street (Sandalwood Shaving Cream).  The Taylor of Old Bond Street or TOBS shaving cream are great performers.  I love the scent and the creamy, yogurt-like lather.

My beautiful wifey just surprised me and ordered a new tub of the TOBS.  So... how 'bout you?  What shaving product are you getting ready to finish?

My tube of C. O. Bigelow is almost out. I've had to resort to rolling it up like a tube of toothpaste to get the last of it out.

Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

My KoS Alphagel is running low, already out of HB3's need to find time to get to the shaver shop.

I just finished up my last bottle of HeaadSlick. I've used it since I starte shaving my head 5 1/2 years ago.
I've now moved on to shave soaps and cremes. I prefer the scents and shaves I get with the soaps.

No complaints about the HeadSlick..... it's a great product..... it was just time for me to try ssomething new and I love the variety that the soaps offer.

Lynchy, what do you think of the Taylor of Bond Street shaving cream? I've tried it a couple of times but it seems to dry out extremely quickly

I don't know if this counts, but I have a shaving brush on its last legs.....

I find it good. It is a thirsty cream IMO.
It needs a fair bit of water, for the best results I start with a wetter brush than typical.

Also I find you dont need a great big glob of it to get some great lather.

Just finished off a some VDH soap I got and started a tube of CO Bigelow yesterday. I haven't tried the Taylor of bond yet but have heard a lot of good stuff about it that might be next.

I have a derby shave stick and a Palmolive shave stick down to their last few centimetres, but as I change soaps or creams almost every day they'll last a while longer yet.

I'm not replacing the Derby because I find it identical to Arko and I have around a dozen more of them.  Also plenty of Palmolives still in stock here at casa del Bluebriz 👍
