With family and friends like this, I am gonna be pretty thick skinned real soon. Did the deed 3 days ago; so far I have earned Old King Cole, Humpty Dumpty, Lex Luther, and my personal fav ... the walking pen_s!
People generally don't like change that they are not in control of, so I'm not overly surprised; more amused. If others are getting a similar reaction, just know it is because they liked you the way you were and aren't yet used to the new improved you. Courage little ones.
Anyone else collecting new titles?
Best,
Chuck

Welcome mate,
Sorry to hear people are having a dig!
My family gave me a fair bit at first, but of they didn't I would be more concerned TBH.
Chin up!

Welcome Chuck!
I get Kojak from time to time but it's typically in jest.

G'Day Chuck mate

Welcome to Sly Bald Guys. Water off a ducks back Chuck, they soon get use to the new you.
I really didn't have any problems with all the funny names, you know them all, Chrome Dome, Nude Nut, Kojak etc etc lol since I am 6'-3" and back then was close to 290lbs and mainly muscle (where has that gone now lol) they wouldn't say anything.

G'day Chuck, Welcome to the family, feel free to throw up an introduction so we can get to meet the real you, sounds like you'll fit in nicely around here

Yep, I copped them all in the beginning too! I still get the occasional one now, but I've always taken it in my stride, and tend to give as good as I get, and congratulate people on the new and unusual remarks.

I almost feel a bit disappointed that no one cared enough to give me an alternate moniker.
Regardless, don't pay them any mind. Sly is an extraordinary way of living which they clearly cannot fathom.

I am always amused when I hear the comment "walking pen_s" . Take it as a compliment.

I've gotten Lex Luther, Walter White and Dr Evil.

And since the back of my head looks like a brain, a girl at work keeps singing the themesong to
Pinky and the Brain every time she walks past my desk.

I get the names as well. Most of them are pretty unimpressive and unoriginal. For my part, I usually jump in and toss out a few at myself, that are actually funny. Most people won't bother to try to insult the guy who doesn't really care, and can hit himself with better stuff than they can.

Most of my friends are bald , so I never got any of that stuff - - -I just get my head rubbed by many people - - -It is lucky when two bald guys rub each others head (our state troopers came up with this years ago) - - - - - -and when the ladies rub they think it brings luck also.
