I am pumped and just had to share!
My "little" brother who lives with us due to his disabilities has lost 130 lbs in 11 months. He came to live with us in June of 2006 and weighed in at 429...last night he broke 300 for the first time in a very long time weighing in at 299!
I better get off my butt, since I've been hovering between 220-225 myself(would like to be 200-210), before he passes me up!
Good for him! What's his program?
Oustanding Arnie..know it couldn't have been easy. Send my congrats to him.
Kalbo...tell him thats a great job, from me...tell him to keep it up!
That is fantastic! Good for him
Good for him! What's his program?
I guess you could say his program is the new environment he lives in...we help him monitor his intake and added him to our fitness club membership. He doesn't enjoy the treadmill, but began by walking at a slow rate...then he made it his goal to either increase the speed or minutes the next treadmill session.
Thanks all who have posted and sent their praise. My not-so-little brother gets a kick out of it and I know it adds to his motivation.
Well then, we must continue to support him!
thats awesome Kalbo...thanks for providing him that enviroment that will surely help him live a longer healthier life...i know he's happy to have you as a brother.
Tell your bro way to go!
that's amazing!!
I need to drop about 30 or 40 myself!!!
What has worked for the rest of ya!!
UPDATE-
It will be a year this Friday that my bro moved in, at 429 pounds. He's lost even more weight since my last post...down to 294!
Think he needs to contact Subway, since he seems to live off their turkey subs! Not sure if his weight loss will be greater than Jared's?
Side note, I'm not going to let him catch me! He has inspired me to break my own plateau(220)...now hovering around 217.
Great for him .... Tell him to keep it up
Thats awesome KalboArnie, its great that he has you as a means of support, lots of young people dont have role models today. Tell him to keep up the great work, and by him doin this, he can do whatever he wants...Its great he believes in himself
