Epic Beard 2012/2013

Last year you may remember that I grew a 5 month beard before going to Alaska. I ultimately trimmed it up and even shaved it off since then. So now that I start a new job at Boeing on Friday, I figured that I can get away with growing out my beard to a 6 month length or possibly even a terminal beard, unless it is a safety concern. But at the least I would love to grow a beard like fellow bald, (but not sly) guy, Dr Andrew Weil. So here is a pic of my Alaska beard and a couple of Dr Weil.

I don't know how you could bring yourself to shave off that great beard. I couldn't.

I shaved it off because I was desperate to find a new job A better job meant more to me than keeping the epic beard. But now I get a chance to do it again. I am hoping to keep it this time. Or if I trim it down, I may not go short but to a thicker, medium length

Marsh, that's a keeper! I hope mine can be half as thick as that....but if I can get it a little wider, I can live without the thickness...in your case, it was worth the wait!

If things don't work at Boeing you sure could be a Santa.

That was a fantastic beard, indeed. Understandable why you had to shave it, but I'm sure it wasn't easy... Hope to see it return in full swing!

Thanks! I was quite proud of myself
Although in reading your quote I realised in my haste I typed the wrong you're... I guess we can't be perfect all the time!

Well, here is my beard at over 4 months old. I would at least like to keep it at this length. I know some people in my life don't like it. But now my job is not a issue. I am hoping to at least grow it out a couple more months. Maybe even more. But I do like the fact this it is not looking shaggy yet. Although I do admire the terminal length beards that are shaggy. But don't know if I could do that myself!
