Hey there all you SLY guys! I am a 35 year old who stumbled onto this site a couple days ago.
I live in Saint Eustache, Quebec, Canada. I am a chef by trade, which is probably why I don't h e any hair left. LOL
I started losing my hair at a very young age, around 15 or 16. Back then I was in love with my super long Banger hairstyle. Hell, only the drummer from AC/DC has no hair, do I made sure ti wear it as long as it would go.
I remember the girls being envious of the hair, but alas, it wasn't to be. The envy turned into friends "kindly" letting me know my hair was receding. Thanks guys. LOL
Of course, I was devastated. I remember wearing baseball caps, dying my hair, cutting it short, and nothing worked.
Ironically, it was a chance score with a hairdresser girl that convinced me that I had a nice head for a completely shaved head. Back in '99 it was a bit weird, but I figured since she was hot, I'd oblige. I went all the way down to a #1 on the clippers!
Of course, my wife wishes I had hair. I had a bit when we met, but looking back at photos from 10 years back and on, it has slowly receded more and more.
It was 4 years ago when I went down to 0 on the clippers, much to the wife's horror. It wasn't long before I started getting tired of waiting to pull out the clippers, so I decided to move to the razor.
Now I get uncomfortable with a weeks growth. What I didn't know is how much actually goes into shaving your head. I am glad I found a forum with people who have the same haircut as me. LOL
Welcome! Yes, shaving can be a lot of work, but the result is great. Many of us shave every day because we like being as smooth as possible. I take it your wife has adjusted over the past four years.
Enjoy being part of the forum here. You've got plenty of support!
Welcome to the forum. I just joined as well. Thanks jay for referring me to this great site.
Welcome! I agree it is a good feeling, very clean and liberating. And it can be reversed anytime by just letting it grow...good luck.
Well some if us have nothing left to let grow.
Thanks guys!
@Highguage - No problem!
Welcome to the brotherhood of the bald.
Jason, I can relate to the shorter and shorter clipper size. I like your introduction. Welcome.
Question. Do you have to wear a hair net in the kitchen to meet the letter of the law (at least in the US, kitchen staff must wear a hair net or hat to keep their hair out of the food). Does this apply to guys who shave bald? Been wondering for some time about that. Seems like the lawyers would want to make you wear a hat or net!
Welcome, I guess it's a question of when the toque fits, wear it!
Well some if us have nothing left to let grow.
Right on - - -so we grow it on our face
