What am I doing wrong!!! Just got done shaving and this is what I see. I would rather have thinning hair than look at this. Need some advice to get rid of the red bumps and not have them come back. I even waited 2 days between shaves to let my head heal from last time. I havent been wear a hat and I couldn't see these bumps when I had 2 day stubble. What is going on!!!!!!!!

Once in a while I get similar red spots too, usually caused by irritation due to too much pressure on the razor while shaving. I also notice during times I am stressed, the dots would appear. I hope your head heals soon. Best regards.

hello.
It also depends on the blade you use, also the shaving gel/foam
I'd like to suggest you to try out a shaving gel plus Gillette blue 3.

It looks like the skin issue is not only on your scalp where you shave but also on your forehead. Have you considered seeeing a doctor? How about trying an electric?

I havent had pimples since I was 17 until I started to shave my head. My forehead I feel is from putting lotion on my head after I shave. It's too greasy. Need to find a better after shave lotion.
As far as shave gel, I tried aveno sensitive shave gel over headslick for the first time today's because I do have somewhat of sensitive skin.
As you can tell I am very frustrated and I'm almost ready to stop shaving.... Somebody talk me off the ledge and give me some good advice

UPDATE: just checked the mirror at work, a lot less redness but minor bumps are still there.
Is it a need to clean head more often issue or put less pressure on the razor issue?
Im shaving with the shick hydro 5 and was using headslick but shaved with aveno shave gel for sensitive skin today.
With the sides of the head to you shave bottom to top, top to bottom, front to back, or back to front? Or 1 of each, with and then against the grain?

Sounds like you're sensitive to HS. Try another aftershave balm too. You need time to "learn" what works for you &what doesn't . KEEP THE FAITH.

bro, keep hoping

Try out diffrent things, blades, gel, foam, till you'll get the right combination

As a final call, keep a buzz haircut ( #0 )

I suggest you shave with the grain. There will be less pressure on the skin.

Less pressure on the skin and not a smooth shave....

I mentioned this the other day in a thread..... Change your bedding a little more often. The natural oils in your skin will dirty your pillow coverings as you sleep... then when you plop your head down on those dirty oils you're right in the "ick".
I'm not saying you have to change them everyday but trying cutting in half whatever the amount of time is that you normally use.
Just an idea.............

Is it a need to clean head more often issue ?
How many times a day do you wash and with what? At least two and you should probalby use a mild anti-bacterial soap like Cuticura, blue bar.

I've just been washing twice, once in the morning before I shave and once at night before bed. Always with Dial for men face and body for sensitive skin. Should I wash during the day and any tips on washing your head at work? I wear a suit to work everyday so if I should wash mid day wipes would work best.... The less mess the better!

Dial isn't the type of soap you need. Get one formulated for problem skin like Cuticura. The blue bar is probably best in this case. Dial is formulated for body odor. It's a "right tool for the job" thing. You'll find it with other complexion otc stuff or ask the pharmacist.
