My name is Brian and I joined the site a few weeks back as I liked the overall support that the group gives to each member. A little about me, 37, had been losing my hair since 17, played 3 sports in HS, and Lax in college so all the helmets did not help ripping the hair out more and more. I always kept my hair short but after graduation, I made the ill choice to get a HT to "improve my look / age ratio". We all heard this story before. Well, now I am married, work in medical device sales as well as running a fishing charter service. I finally got sick of looking like I was older than my age and my wife supported me. I shaved it down with clippers and she immediately said I looked better, but like a good wife, she said she liked me no matter what I chose to do. Now, bearing the lovely strip scar and all, I am about the go full sly. Yes, I am embarrassed for the choice I made 11 years ago with the surgery, but to all those here that gave confidence to others to do it, I now join you. I am going to try to be a voice to support those who have made the same choice and now face the facts or to those considering HT - Don't do it! We live in a different time now when bald is good, and accepting who you are is great. I hope to be an active part of this group as I know many of you have been for me already.

Welcome and enjoy!!

Good to hear you are going the sly route and you should have good advice for others thinking about the HT route.

Welcome to the group. I shaved completely bald some 16 months ago, my wife shaved it really short with an electric shaver and I finished off the work with a new, sharp blade. She loves it too and it's nice to have that support, it made things a lot easier. Nowadays I shave everyday, I encourage you to go the same route

Welcome and thanks for your story. As for your scar, a little "dome decor" never hurt anybody.

Welcome. Make up a story about the scar.
I have one on the top of my head (I got when I was a couple years old thanks to my brother). If someone asks, I just tell 'em I got it in Nam or it was a bar fight. You should see the other guy!
