Many of you I'm guessing already know about
http://www.togetherweserved.com but I wanted to mention it since so many veterans and retired military continue to join SBG and may not of heard of it.
Pre-internet, many of us lost contact with fellow military members that we wanted to stay in touch with. Since I logged into TWS, people have found me or I them from each of my previous commands...all the way back to bootcamp(17 years ago)!!! Initially I didn't think I would put too much effort into using the site, since I put way too much time into my MySpace page, but am definately reconsidering that now...
In short you could compare it to MySpace, for the Navy and Marines, without any advertising(for now...lol). It is free and you get a full membership for at least 6 months I believe...after that you go down to the free basic plan with options to pay for the full plan or recruit(you get upgraded to the full membership for a certain period of time for every 5 people you invite that accepts).
The last perk I've noticed, is that most commands allow you to access it, unlike MySpace, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, etc...that are typically blocked.
With all the networking we do here, this could be another tool in your tool bag if you are not currently utilizing it...
