So the background on this is that back in the day, I used to have my head buzzed to #2 and sometimes #1 (although never sly). My mother even did it for me a few times.
Fast forward to today. 70 year-old Ma says, "I'm so glad to see you back to your true self!"
True self indeed.
THIS.... is exactly the reason that Moms are the BEST!
First time my Mom saw me sly she looked at the scars on my noggin and asked what the hell I'd been doing with my life. I "reminded" her of the childhood mishaps that gave me most of them and she "remembered" the ones that weren't from childhood just the way I told them. Sometimes love means protecting the ones you love from pain. Yours as well as theirs.
Aloha to all, and your Mothers, still with you, or where the rest of those ever-caring and watchful Mothers may be- and so many of the rest are certainly comfortable behind those well deserved "Pearly Gates". Just like my wife said, "you look younger" after I went Sly, I know my Mom would have agreed- Bless her soul!
