I had a full head of hair, but shaved it off. Frequent haircuts, shampooing, drying and combing my hair became a real chore. Also dandruf had been a problem for me since my teenage years. After trying every dandruf treatment available, I gave up.
Over a 2 year period, my hair was gradually shortened from medium length down to a #1 buzzcut and then a #1/2 buzz. The slow process gave me and the people around me time to get used to my ever shortening hair. After sporting the #1 buzz for a few months, I finally got the nerve to shave my head completely. They only thing I regret is that I had not shaved my head sooner. It is a great looking no maintenance style. The headshine is amazing. No more barber, no more shampoo and conditioner, no more comb and brush. The bald head is saving me time and money and always looks great.
Congrats Jimbo! Post up a before and after shot for us to check out.
Most of us have said.."wish I had done it sooner"...Great when it is finally done! Congrats, dude.
That's great that you did. I have nothing against men who shave their heads bald by choice, but again I ask that question. I shaved my head because of genetics from my dad's side. I used to have a full head of hair when I was younger and had really long hair. Congrats on your choice. I still keep my wife's beautician in business by getting pedicures with my wife and having her trim my goatee.
Welcome Jimbo, I also found shaving helped with flaking scalp.
Wish I could welcome you like NOODLES - - - -
