Our team is doing good, we've moved up each week from...

7th to 5th to 4th to 2nd place...and then we swept the series this past week!!!

Everyone ordered a SBG shirt this past week...gonna be a cool pic to follow shortly...

UPDATE:  SLY BOWLING TEAM REMAINS IN FIRST PLACE!!!

We took over the top spot last week and won again last night!!!

This week we all got our SBG Shirts(thanks for your help with that Tyler) and got a lot of comments on them.  Before the series I tried to get a group picture, but nobody could seem to hold the camera still for the shot and they all came out blurry...so will try again next week.

We had lane difficulties that slowed the pace down, so we were about 5 frames behind the entire league last night...and it is obvious we are getting noticed, because the team we knocked to 2nd place stuck around to watch us.

I chose to sit out this past week (due to the passing of my mother) and we lost, BUT WE REMAIN IN FIRST PLACE as the team closest to us got swept...

We appreciate the support as this is the last week of the first 1/3 (basically 1 season is broken into 3) and we are in first place, but this last week is a MUST WIN to take the title of the first 1/3 of the season (and the money prize)!!!

The first 1/3 of the season has ended and WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!

There was a lot of drama and some possible controversy leading into last night champsionship match...

We were only 1 point ahead in the standings and ironcially, we faced the team that was behind us by that point.  You do the math...7 points total per match (2 per game, 1 for total pins)...so it was ours to lose or win!!!

Then the other team brought in a "ringer" with no handicap(didn't make sense since they already had 7 people on their roster) so it had to be established based off his bowling.  After a hard fought battle with everyone on each side bowling above average...we lost.  It didn't matter what the new guy got since we were already behind...

We had no choice at that time...so we smashed his knee caps....

Wait, no...we wanted to, but to claim the title...we had to win the last 2 games now.  The next game we smashed them comfortably so even if the new guy was sandbagging(it looked like he was trying a little to do so) it didn't matter...

Then the last game started off bad...most of my team opening in the first...and we all opened in the 10th frame.  Thankfully we all had streaks of strikes in the middle.  It was close...and we thought we lost with the new guy's handicap...so we waited for the results to come in and...

...WE TOOK THE LAST GAME BY 1 PIN!!!

I'll be honest you built so much suspense with how you described how the games went.

You guys should make a deal with your teammates with hair, if you guys get first again he has to shave lol

After winning the first 1/3 of the season, all the standings are now reset and we started the second 1/3 this past week...

And we swept the first week and are on top of the rankings again....hopefully we can win it all again!!!

Got some good news...and some bad news to report...

The bad news is that one of our SLY bowlers got moved to 2nd shift and 2 of others grew their hair out again...but everyone still sports their SBG shirts.  Even last night a bald bowler on the other team said all bald bowlers need to report to lane 13(in a 12 lane alley)...and I let him know he really needs to get one of these shirts!!!

The good news is...week 2 of the second third done and we WON AGAIN!!!  And we are going to STATE in April!!!

Please post your support...I brought my computer last night and the team enjoyed seeing all the posts!!!
