hey guys i was wondering how do u guys deal with the funny stares u get in crowded n packed places like in train during peak hrs, in crowded lifts?

i live in a country/place where balding is almost non-existent epecially for youngsters like me. being bald at such a young age would make me a target of stare  :-[

if i were to go bald, that would be the most worrying factor that always puts me off. i m afraid i would not dare to step out once i go bald

how should i deal with it?

I can't remember somebody was actually staring at me. Of course, for some time after I went sly I sometimes had the feeling that someone was observing me.

In case of a real staring, I'd ignore it or give him/her a grin or a little humorous remark, like "Do you want to touch it?". Depends of the situation.
Just be cool.

I don't get funny stares either, but then, maybe older men wouldnt anyway? :-\

Mostly its all in your own mind: a feeling that people might be staring.  But nine times out of ten, they arent. 8)

I never get what one might call funny stares. Sometimes I do get "I ain't messin with him" looks. I usually disarm that with a smile. I don't know if that is from being bald or being a big guy.

Stares?  Ming never gets stares.  Ming never takes the train.  His Imperial Transport Vehicles are very private.

Well in USA, at least for air travelers, it's really lost any "stare" appeal it ever had.  They could by called the Sly Skies, passengers, pilots, stewards, TSA, ticket agents, service people in the vendors, it's like every other guy is sly.

My normal procedure is to expel gas from my lower intestine, look at whoever is standing next to me while holding my nose, and make some type of exclamatory statement having to do with the practice of farting in public. Something genteel, like: "Dude, Holy
$h!t, did it smell like that when you ate it?" All attention then gets riveted on them and ANYTHING they say only gets them in deeper. This works especially well in "lifts".

I would probably opt for "Go ahead, touch it - I know you want to..."

(Then again, that's just me...)  :D
