First off, welcome to the New Guys Richard, Skinhead002, & Big Tom.

Second: It is changing at the present.  This is the first point in history where a Bald Man in Pop Culture does not have to be the "Thug", "Goone", or a SkinHead/Racist.

I find that it is alot easier to break the ice when I walk around as I do, like a giant Clown.  I am always smiling, and always have a bright look on my face so as to seam ingaging.

Now I am not saying that I don't use that tough look, and that I have not learned to perfect it... At the supermarket, or at the gym, I find that It is alot easier when i am mean Buggin'; because atleast then people stay out of my way and let me get my task done quickly and efficiently.  At the club, its also a cultivated look of mine, the cool, Sly brother, or as I see it and call it "the Howie Mandell Look".  He just gives off a confident, Sly appeal; and I try to mold my Club Look after him.

We are all embassadors for the Bald Nation, let us go out and spread the gospel, and make sure that we leave no Women unsatisfied with her experience... The guys will follow promptly after!  8)
Peace

I'm with you CLEAN!

I have to remember to "turn it off" once in a while though, I get busy or in a hurry and forget to smile!    >:(

My new "Sly Bald Guy" shirt does help break the ice a bit!   ;D  (Shameless plug for the tee shirt)

I work a white collar suit and tie job.  Anymore the shaved head is so mainstream I don't think most people even give it much though.

However, as some as you guys have noted things can be different when you're out at a bar in jeans.  Some people think you're way more than Sly and want to start a fight with the bad ass bald boy!

You're right about that.  I find that I dress differently than I used to, though.  I  used to wear a lot of polo shirts and khakis, and now I'm more of a jeans and T-shirt kind of guy.  The polo shirts and khakis don't seem to go as well with the bald head, for some reason.  Not sure why.

Depends on the environment.  Shaved heads are so mainstream now that almost anything goes

So, I have another "tough guy" story for you...

I was in Dallas last week and went to a bar with two of my buddies.  While at the bar I went to the bathroom (which is usually required after a couple of brewskis) and accidently bumped a guy when I walked through the door.  I had only had one beer at this point, so I was still sober, but this other guy was pretty drunk.  Before I could apologize he says "Man, your a pretty solid guy, you just moved me a couple of feet.  Do you workout?"  I replied with, "Sorry I bumped you.  Yes, I workout."  He then said, "I would have gotten pissed off at you, but you look mean, so I'm not going to mess with you."  Then he left.

Now, this guy was probably 4 or 5 inches taller than me and probably 30 to 40 pounds heavier than me.  I'm sure he could have squashed me if it really got down to it.  But, thankfully I looked "mean."

Had a sim experience with guys I used to go to school with. see em at a home town bar. They only remembered me by name and one of them was really drunk and got in my face. His buddies pulled him away and said to me      " Don't hurt him man, he's just drunk and doesn't mean any harm!" Any one of them could of creamed me if they wanted to. His buds even bought me a few drinks for being cool about it.

Many years ago when I was a bouncer in downtown Oakland, Ca.. I found buying a drink for the meanest bad dood was a good policy, I never had any problems with Somoians or bad azz guys after that, and when the fights broke out, I had plenty of back up  :x!

When I first started shaving my head, a buddy used to tell me I looked bada$$ until I smiled.  The problem? I smile a lot.  :D

Anyone who knows me can tell within 30 seconds of hearing me talk that I'm more goofy than tough. I wish I was tough! Can any of you guys give me some tough guy lessons?   O0

I've been known to tell people that if they forget my name, they can call me Vin Diesel or Bruce Willis.
