What are you jammin' on?
« on: March 16, 2007, 09:55:29 AM »
I've noticed that there are quite a few musicians in this forum. So I was wondering, what's everyone playing on? Tell me all about your instrument of choice!

I've got an acoustic Washburn that's absolutely beautiful and has great tone. Then I also have a Dean acoustic-electric that's not too bad considering the deal I got. The action is a little high on the Dean, so I'm probly gonna take off the saddle and sand it down a bit. We've already tried to straighten out the neck with very minimal success.

I have two guitars which I haven't played in many many years ... Encore semi-acoustic & Squire Strat.  Nice guitars (for cheaper versions of the originals), good enough that my brother gigs with them as much as his ESP.

I have a few harmonicas.  My favorite is my Lee Oscar.

I'm an all acoustic guitarist and I have an old Dorado acoustic that my grandfather gave me about 12 years ago. I've bought other acoustics and I just keep going back to that one, I love it. I do have my eye on an Alvarez that I played at a local shop though. :)

I play an Ovation Acoustic guitar. Just bought all new strings for it.
Also have a Yamaha Electric guitar that's gathering dust.

I personally have been playing an old Harmony Monterey Acoustic that was handed down to me, but I think it's about time I invested in something a little nicer.
I also play on my Fender FM62SE acoustic/electric mandolin. I call her Jenny :@`

I love the sound from a mando, nothing like it

I have a tenor saxophone.  Don't get to play much, but that's my own fault.

Got to say I love the sounds of a good sax. I've thought about learning to play it myself, but I'm just not too comfertable with brass of woodwinds.

Drums - been playing for 33 years.

Got my first drum when I was 12 (1974).  Started playing on my friends drum kit at 14.  Got my own drum kit at 16.  Got into the L.A. rock scene at 20 (1982).  Made a decent mark during the big-hair rock scene in a band called Letchen Grey...selling about 80,000 records world wide under management with Guns & Roses and Great White.

Go to Google and with quotation marks search "Letchen Grey" and we're all over the place still.

Got out of the music business in 1991 and started playing on various worship teams (church bands) which I've been doing ever since.

Looked you band up and your name came up Robbie Blackmore. No relation to Ritchie is there? ;D
Hope that's not prying to much, I mean about posting your last name.
