black sly bald guy about to shave again...need some new tips...

hey guys whats up? i had a previous name on this website a while ago but i forgot the password for it. Anyways i was thinking about shaving again for the new year but i forgot some parts of the shaving method, as in what items i would have to buy and stuff.

So far all i have in my disposal from the last time i shaved is shave secret . I was just wondering if anyone here can give me....

1)a list of items i should buy before shaving...keep in mind that im black and i know black guys have different hair than white guys(budget is not an issue)
2)actual procedure to shaving like step by step
3)how long should i wait before shaving again after i get the first barbershop shave...

Today marks my first full week of being SLY (LUV IT)

So here goes my shaving methodology

My preference is the Mach 3 Turbo
Wet down the dome by hand with hot water
Apply some shaving gel and away I go
My shaving strokes are against the grain and after the first sweep, I rub my hand over the areas and check for misses....be careful around the ears

Then it's shower time and does it feel GOOD

The final piece of this excercise is too purchase a good  moisturizer and
simoniz the dome

By the way, I like to shave every other day and DON'T GO TO THE BARBER,
YOU WILL MISS THE FUN

After that...the world awaits

Welcome back wolf.  As you mentioned, your needs may be different, so the best advice would be to check out the numerous tips in the Head Shaving section and see which would apply to you.   Personally I don't use anything but Headslick for shaving and the Mach 3 or Headblade is my razor(s) of choice.  Since you are getting back into the routine, shaving with the grain first and then against should minimize irritation.  And for many a cold water rinse is a must.   Post shave needs would depend upon your skin sensitivity.   Aloe vera gel helps to keep down irritation for me

I like to shave in the shower and use a HeadBlade Sport with the triple blade.  I also use HeadSlick from Headblade to lather up first.  There's nothing special about shaving the pate, it's similar to face shaving.  I don't need a mirror in the shower, I just feel with one hand and drive the HeadBlade with the other till everything is smooth!  Rinse and apply a little Bald Guyz Moisture Gel after drying.
