Honest opinions, please

Even though I'm pretty sure what kind of responses I'm going to get in a forum like this one, I thought I'd go ahead and ask anyway.
Below is a photo of me from about 6 months ago. So (and PLEASE be honest), should I have gone sly again? Don't worry; I won't be disappointed either way.

To be honest, you look good both ways. But you also rock the sly look well! But if you are having any balding, like in the back of the head, then going sly is a good thing. It can make you ready for further balding.

I think you look better sly

.
The fact that you are smiling in the Avatar helps, but sly is good for you.

I voted either -- you're a good-looking guy either way. Sly is a more distinctive look, of course.

Thanks to all of you, guys.

For the record, I like the sly look, especially now that my hair's going prematurely gray. The main reason I asked was that I'm going through the "first-days" transition, where a nagging voice in the back of my mind keeps asking "Did I make a mistake?" I'm secure enough to admit it and move on when I
do make a mistake, but it was nice to get some outside affirmation.

Well, Gary, it's probably because I'm usually my harshest critic.
I recently saw an old post from Razor X that matched exactly what I'm going through now: I like the new look well enough, but it doesn't feel like it's part of my identity at all right now. It feels more like I'm wearing a disguise. I seem to be taking longer to adjust to the new look than friends and family members are.

Just stick with it. Sometimes it takes a while, but you'll get used to it. It's well worth the wait.

its probably easier to adjust for those of us who had short hair before balding. I NEVER had long hair in my entire life and frequenly buzzed it for years. Shaving it all off with a razor wasnt too awkward for me.
